传统的跟踪和控制可回收集装箱流动的方法已不能保证货柜的周转量。结果，OEM和供应商的集装箱库存波动，造成短缺、加急、重新装箱、可回收的运费溢价，并对生产线造成影响。这些会为OEM和供应商造成数十万甚至数百万美元的不必要成本。
